We are looking for dynamic and proactive people who have a natural interest for customer service and are able to perform various tasks related to the private security field.

Responsibilities

• Control access and movement within a site
• Manage the loan of keys, access cards and miscellaneous equipment
• Take action to maintain order and peace by ensuring implementation and enforcement of the rules  
• Reduce tensions, calm down and control agitated and/or threatening individuals 
• Locate, intercept and relocate undesirable individuals
• Observe and report activities and/or incidents that occurred during your shift
• Conduct indoor and outdoor preventive patrols
• Monitor intrusion detection systems that use automated alarm or video surveillance software
• Operate safety consoles and warning annunciator panels
• Implement an emergency action plan, if applicable
• Administer first aid as a first-aid attendant (or first responder)
• Evacuate a building in case of emergency, secure a perimeter
• Take notes, write various reports and keep records up to date
• Assist emergency services and participate in investigations
• Provide outstanding customer service

Requirements

• Hold a security guarding license from the Bureau de la sécurité privée
• Hold a valid first aid certificate (16 hours)
• Ability to work on variable shifts (evenings, weekends and public holidays)
• Relevant experiences in security and/or customer service (an asset)
• Hold a valid driver’s license (an asset)
